Among the most important landmarks of Cuenca, the San Pablo Bridge is one of the most popular, a pedestrian bridge originally built in the 16th century to connect the San Pablo convent with the old town across the Huécar River. The Hanging Houses are Cuenca’s main attraction. With their wooden balconies, they used to line much of the cliffs, but now only a few remain. Dating back to the 14th century, it’s quite impressive that some of them can still be admired and even visited inside.
